AlwaysOn bietet die Möglichkeit, mehrere sekundäre Datenbanken zu speichern, die redundant in mehreren Rechenzentren laufen können.
3 Service Broker für Entwickler
Service Broker ist ein Framework für die Entwicklung hochskalierbarer Anwendungen mit asynchroner Kommunikation auf Basis von SQL Server. Service Broker ist skalierbar und als Rahmenwerk konzipiert, so dass er z. B. zum Senden von Nachrichten innerhalb einer Datenbank oder von einer Datenbank zu einer anderen verwendet werden kann. Anwendungen, die auf der Basis von Service Broker entwickelt werden, können auch zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt über Instanzen skaliert werden.
4. Verfügbarkeit von Java auf SQL Server 2019 Enterprise
In der SQL Server 2019 Enterprise Edition kann durch die Integration von Java Runtime erstmals auch Java-Code für das Datenbankmanagementsystem genutzt werden. Das bedeutet, dass kompilierter Java-Code jetzt direkt in SQL Server ausgeführt werden kann, ohne dass er zuvor migriert werden muss. 11. SQL Server 2019 Enterprise Core-Lizenzierung
Die von Microsoft mit der Serverversion 2016 eingeführte Pro-Core-Lizenzierung gilt auch exklusiv für die SQL Server 2019 Enterprise Edition. Daher ist die sonst übliche Lizenzierung pro Server/CAL hier generell nicht möglich.
Im Vergleich zu früheren Versionen, bei denen es unerheblich war, wie viele Cores ein Prozessor enthielt, wird bei der Pro-Core-Lizenzierung ein anderer Maßstab angelegt: Jetzt ist die Anzahl der Cores ausschlaggebend für die Bestimmung der Lizenzierungsanforderungen. Das Pro-Core-Lizenzierungsmodell gilt auch für die hybride Nutzung und die Bereitstellung in der Cloud.
Bei der Cloud-kompatiblen Lizenzierung gilt eine Kernlizenz für jeden der beiden Cores (im Gegensatz zu früher, wo eine Lizenz pro Prozessor erforderlich war).
Die Gesamtlizenzanforderung entspricht der maximalen Anzahl von Cores pro Prozessor. Alle physischen Cores eines Servers benötigen ihre eigene Kernlizenz. Die Mindestanzahl der Lizenzen pro Server beträgt acht, daher hat Microsoft die folgenden Bedingungen festgelegt:
• Für jeden Prozessor werden mindestens 8 Kernlizenzen benötigt.
• Für jeden Server werden mindestens 16 Kernel-Lizenzen benötigt.
